Apex has worked for multi-lateral and bilateral donors including the World Bank, African Development Bank, and USAID, and has worked directly with host-country governments and with multinational corporations and local business. Associate Consultant Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct research or data analysis and prepare draft reports (or inputs)
- Support in project management and planning
- Manage international projects and resources
- Manage project deliverables and reports
- Interact with clients and project team to plan and develop project work
- Assist with project activities
- Research and write sections of project proposals
- Manage project budgets and quality
- Provide business solutions and recommendations to clients to meet project goal
- Assist with business development activities
- Participate in related development conferences and networking events
- Research prospects and identify matches between donor interests and Apex development strategy.
- Develop compelling concept notes to gauge the interest of the potential partner
Professional Qualifications:
- Undergrad or graduate degree in Public Administration, Public Policy, International Affairs, International Studies, Political Science, or related field
- Relevant overseas work or internship experience in a developing country context
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Experience with USAID-funded and /or other donor-funded projects strongly preferred
- Strong analytical and computer skills, including spreadsheet
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Strong writing skills
- Experience in relevant economic growth issues preferred, inclusive of trade, private sector development and business enabling environment
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Permanent U.S. work authorization required
- Creativity, ownership, initiative, organizational skills, and attention to detail
- Must be proactive and self-motivated
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Ability to learn new concepts quickly
